Dr. Williams completed her undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame.  She subsequently received her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine.  Her medical Internship and Residency were completed at the Well Cornell campus of New York-Presbyterian Hospital.  She then completed her cardiovascular fellowship at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.  Following her passion, she later completed a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Williams is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Echocardiography.  She is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, Association of Black Cardiologists, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.  Dr. Williams has received various awards, including the Samuel Levitt Award for Outstanding Skills and Humanitarianism in Medicine.  She has also been published in major medical journals.

While not practicing medicine, she enjoys music and football.
