Dr. Freireich graduated from New York University College of Medicine.  He then completed his medical internship and residency at the Bellevue Hospital Center in NY. His cardiovascular fellowship was completed at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Freireich is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Freireich is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He also as member of the Clayton/Fayette Medical Society as well as Georgia Heart Association.  He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Prior to his current tenure in private practice, Dr. Freireich has served in areas of academic positions including the faculty at the New York University School of Medicine, Yale University College of Medicine and the U.S. Air Force School of Heathcare Services.  He also participated in Crew Training-Inflight Medical Support System of Sky Lab manned spacecraft program. As a clinical researcher, Dr. Freireich has participated in major clinical trials which have been published in major medical journals.
